Having been greeted at the aiport by the delightedful James Corden we enjoyed a fabulous flight over to Mumbai courtesy of Jet Airways, who kindly sponsored an upgrade to business class – thank you :-)

Mumbai is a city of diversity and extremes in every way, and we have completely fallen in love with it. We have made sure that we immersed ourselves as fully as possible within the short time that we have been here, so much so that it feels as though we have been here for a week already! I’m particularly grateful to my travelling companion and travel guide extraordinaire Roy, who architected and mapped out our experience which took us from navigating dirty side street markets where people were selling all forms of what we would term waste (old tv remote controls, hub-caps, old cassette tapes, boxes, often spanning channels of raw sewerage!), to food and spice markets and lunch in amongst all of that to a walk down Marine Drive by the beach at sunset, to the magnificent Gateway to India, beers in Leopolds Cafe (built in 1870 and complete with bullet holes from recent shootings and terrorist attacks!) and culminating in dinner at the Taj and a scenic and colourful taxi journey through some of the back streets of Mumbai, which was just incredible.

So grateful to be here at last, and so looking forward to meeting more of the people and becoming further immersed in Indian Culture. Love and best wishes to all of you and thank you for following our journey so far … much more to come, I’m sure!

Our first “Dare and Donate”

Brand You, a branding, graphic design and website design agency, steps up to bat for the Global Children's TrustSuzanne Whitby and Brand You have started the ball rolling with our very first “Dare and Donate”.

The Dare:

“I dare Roy and Nigel to buy a cricket bat and play a game (and film it, or take a photo of the game) with some local kids.  We’ll sponsor £10 per game to a maximum of £100 in total”.

Taking the Dare one step further:

“If you have a small or growing business, why not match our dare?  £100 goes a long way in the 3rd world!!”

The Proof!
